The Pinckneyville City Council approved the appointment of Lawrence West as city clerk.
The Pinckneyville City Council unanimously approved the appointment of Lawrence West as city clerk at its Jan. 11 meeting.
The council also established tax increment financing accounts for Pinckneyville Grade School District 50, Pinckneyville Community High School District 101 and Community Consolidated School District 204.
The council also opened bids for for the city's 2016 mowing contract, approved its 2016 meeting calendar and voted to close its insurance account with the remaining balance of more than $17,000 being transferred to the city's general fund.
