The Anna City Council approved a park usage permit for the Heartland Classic Poultry Club's show during its regular meeting on Jan. 19
The poultry show will be held on March 11 and 12.
The council also promoted Darren Brown to a full-time general laborer position.
Police Chief Scott Rice discussed a grant that would pay for a prescription drop box to be installed at the police department. Permission was given for Rice to pursue the grant in collaboration with Commissioner Brandon Bierstedt, who was not at the meeting.
The city council meets at 5 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the Community Center, 105 Oak St.
In addition to Bierstedt, the council includes Commissioners David Isom, Al Kamp and Martha Ann Webb. Steve Hartline is the mayor of Anna.
