Free books still available at the Mt. Vernon Township High School Library

Books

The Mt. Vernon Township, Illinois High School Library is offering free books to the public from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 19 and 20.

The free books are on display at the library in Room 202C. To reach the library, enter C building through the front door on 6th Street, which faces the practice football field, and go up the stairs.

While preparing for the move to the new campus, the librarians have removed a variety of books from the collection. These are the books being offered to the public. The free books may be old and out-of-date, not being used or have multiple copies in the collection.

The library will move the remainder of the collection to the new campus this summer. The classics, local and Illinois history and other popular fiction and non-fiction books remain in the collection. While the library is moving, students can order books and other materials through the Illinois Heartland Library System.
