Other topics discussed included two buses that were deemed obsolete. The board was asked to approve the trading of the buses and the purchase of a new one. A motion to purchase a 2017 Bluebird 71 Passenger bus from Central States was carried. The cost of the purchase was set at $71,440.

Another motion to set the 2015-16 Graduation date for May 15 was carried.

The Illinois Drill Team Assocation (IDTA) State Champion PCHS Pompon Squad was commended for its hard work and talent. The group faced a challenging season and still managed to win with its Jazz routine as the first in the state.

The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) club was recognized, as Rachel Loos, Kayce Morgan and Kara Lacy were introduced. They prepared a presentation to explain the activities of the club in terms of community service. The club recently held a successful toy drive, with PCHS students donating 500 toys.

The board accepted Rhonda Hicks’ resignation as Pompon Coach to take place immediately.
