Carbondale, Illinois residents recently gained access to a new mobile app and online platform that will allow residents to instantly report and document potholes, abandoned vehicles, broken traffic signals, and other routine concerns.

The city is offering downloadable apps for Android and iPhone users through the company See-Click-Fix. Through the platform, residents can geo-locate the problem area, take and post photos, and write descriptions. On the city's end, staff will be able to more clearly track their responses to problems stage by stage in a transparent way.

“Staff has been using See-Click-Fix for a couple of months now and I am really excited about the improvements in work flow we have already seen," Director of Public Works Sean Henry said. "The ability for citizens and staff to instantly report concerns and receive feedback will undoubtedly save time and improve customer service.”

Residents can download the mobile app for free at seeclickfix.com. Reports can also be filed at www.carbondale311.com
