The Murphysboro, Illinois Community Unit School District (CUSD) No. 186 Board of Education scheduled a hearing on a drivers education fee increase
The hearing was set for April 16. The puprose was to discuss a yearly $25 increase in the drivers education fees, which would raise the amount from from $75 in FY2017 to $125 in FY 2019.
Also at the same recent meeting, the board accepted the resignations of program aide Nicole Mileur, assistant cheerleading coach Cheryl Brasel, and high school cheerleading coach Audrie Korando.
The board also approved a motion to enter into a cooperative agreement for football for one year with Elverado School District No. 196 at no expense to the district, pending approvals at various levels.
The board also approved the non-reemployment of teachers not in the final year of probationary service, the honorable dismissal of educational support personnel, the non-renewal for three first-year teachers, and the recognition of employees who will receive tenure
status.
