The price of local government: City of Pinckneyville

The City of Pinckneyville budget was $9.15 million for its 2015 fiscal year, or $6,289.69 per household.

That's an increase of 17.9 percent from 2014, when the city spent $7.76 million, or $5,336.39 per household.

Pinckneyville has 1,455 households and a population of 5,570.

Since 2001, the City of Pinckneyville budget has grown by 24.7 percent, from $7.34 million. The city population has grown 1.9 percent over the same period, from 5,464.
