Village of Coulterville Board of Trustees met May 24.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Village Board of Coulterville was called to Order at the Village Hall for special session on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 7:30 pm.

Those present for the roll call were Board members: Dyson, Knope, Wine and Campbell. Long and Harvey were absent.

•Moved by Dyson, second by Campbell to approve agenda as presented. All Ayes.

Public Comment:

New Business:

•Treasurer, Dale Schumer presented the board with a 2018 fiscal year budget consisting of the General, Water, Police, Sewer and Cemetery Funds. He explained that these funds are considered the business funds that are used in the day to day operation of the village. The major repairs of the previous year Were discussed as Were possible upcoming maintenance issues. This presentation is to relay information as to the Village's financial status and future goals. The sales tax and income tax revenues have decreased in the pass year. The board discussed possible alternatives to attain new business and increase revenues. The board discussed the Water fund and the possible rate increases to help alleviate growing costs.

Old Business:

•The board discussed the proposals received for the property at 410 E. Grant Street. Rodney Jackson Submitted a proposal to tear down the existing building in exchange for the West half of the lot. James Lambert Wishes to buy the entire property at a reduced price to open an auction house. Both proposals constitute a loss for the Village. No action was taken on this issue so that Mayor Marlow could ask Attorney Alan Farris to speak with the board at the June 5, 2017 meeting.

Adjournment:

•Moved by Knope, Second by Dyson to adjourn at 8:52 pm. All Ayes.
