City of Waterloo - Gas Committee met July 3.
Here is the minutes as provided by the committee:
The meeting was called to order by Alderman Notheisen at 7:02pm. In
attendance were Aldermen Hopkins, Darter, Thomas and Heller. Also in
attendance were Shawn Kennedy, City Attorney Dan Hayes, Aldermen
Buettner and Row and Mayor Smith.
Minutes from the April 3rd were previously approved on April 10th at
the Utility Meeting.
Alderman Notheisen read a letter explaining the philosophy of hedging
and his interpretation of the financial results of the last 27 months of
hedging. Discussion followed.
Alderman Notheisen then presented the purchase proposal for the
upcoming quarterly purchase. With little discussion the motion was
made by Hopkins and seconded by Thomas to accept proposal. The
motion passed 4‐1, with Darter voting no.
There was no additional business. Alderman Thomas made the motion
to adjourn, seconded by Alderman Heller. Motion passed 5‐0 at 7:22.
