Williamson County Board of Commissioners met January 26.

Here is the minutes as provided by the board:

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Ron Ellis, approving Raffle and Poker Run License Application for Creal Springs Wonder Water Park Board. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Ron Ellis, approving Raffle and Poker Run License Application for Motorcycle Riders Memorial. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Ron Ellis, approving the purchase of a John Deere tractor with 25’ Boom Mower in the amount of $104, 735.84 for the Highway Department. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Yea; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Discussion had concerning a gate at the Highway Department. Commissioner Marlo will check on cost. No action taken.

Motion made by Brent Gentry and seconded by Ron Ellis, approving RESOLUTION NO. 18-01-26-04 WILLIAMSON COUNTY MENTAL HEALTH “708” BOARD APPOINTMENT OF RICK HALL. Mr. Hall’s term commences today and is due to expire December 31, 2022. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Jim Marlo, Abstain; Brent Gentry, Yea; Ron Ellis, Yea. All members present and two voting Yea; motion carried.

Discussion had on AZAVAR. Wendy Cunningham, Assistant State’s Attorney has sent a letter to Illinois Department of Revenue pertaining to the audit findings. No action taken.

Commissioner Marlo has talked with Republic Services about things that will need to be put in the contract for their services. No action taken.

A representative from Spyglass will be here on February 13, 2018 to go over their findings.
