Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Perry County?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Perry County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by SW Illinois News.

The data shows that six men and two women were released in Perry County. The median age of the parolees was 31. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018, and the oldest was a 41-year-old woman sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Keith L. Sauerhage. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2018 when he was 29 years old. He is now 30.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
