Maeystown Fire Protection District responded to 10 calls in 2018 - 37.5 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Maeystown included eight fires - two structure fires, one vehicle fire and five other fires.

In all, the department saw $130,500 in fire loss - or about $16,313 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.

The Maeystown Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $88,778 in 2018.
