U.S. Rep. Mike Bost (IL-12) congratulates Don Tracy for being chosen as the new chairman of the Illinois Republican Party Central Committee.

“Illinoisans have had enough of the Democrats’ destructive policies in Springfield,” Bost tweeted on Saturday. “And I know Don’s conservative leadership will help put the GOP on a path to help fix the many challenges our state faces. I am excited to work with Don and unite our party for victory in 2022!”

The Springfield attorney and businessman is grateful for the warm support he received from the committee.

“I cannot thank everyone enough for the kind words,’ Tracy said in a statement. “In my time being involved in winning some tough and important races for Republicans, a united team with everyone rowing in the same direction was absolutely crucial. So, it’s heartening to see my message of being a Chairman for all Republicans resonate so quickly. The opportunities before us in 2022 will require us standing together.”

The new chairman also thanked Mark Shaw, the Lake County Republican Party chairman and president of the Republican County Chairmen's Association of Illinois, and Kendall County Board Chairman Scott Gryder, the other two finalists “for their tireless work on behalf of the Republican Party.”
