City of Red Bud Finance Committee met May 15.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

Committee Members Present: Rodney Nevois, Bill Hanebutt, Ben Schwartzkopf, Alan Piel

Committee Members Absent: Mike Rheinecker

Council Members Present: Curt Guebert, Jeremy DeMond, Kyle Donjon

Council Members Absent: None

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rebecca Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Administrator Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Assist. Pam Poetker

Others Absent: City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Nevois called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M.

Old Business

I. Illinois Country Harvest – Quote for Autumn Planters

Discussion was held as to how long the autumn decorations are used, before the Christmas decorations go in.

Recommendation made by Committee Member Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member Piel, to approve the bid from Illinois Country Harvest for autumn decorations in the planters at city hall, in the amount of $996.07. Carried

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – April 17, 2023 Recommendation made by Committee Member Piel, seconded by Committee Member Schwartzkopf, to approve the minutes from the April 17, 2023, meeting. Carried

II. CD Information

A. Maturing CDs

There are none until October.

III. Financial Dashboard

Committee Chairman Nevois reviewed the FY’23 unaudited financial summary. Revenue is at 118% of the budget (+$449,157), while expenses are at 51% of the budget (-$1,934,381). The Economic Development Transfer In/Out is a wash and no loans went out this year.

IV. Authorization to Purchase Printer/Copier Machine

Recommendation made by Committee Member Hanebutt, seconded by Committee Member Schwartzkopf, to approve purchasing a copier and printer as proposed from Americom, NTE $6,200, plus service agreement. Carried

V. Authorization to Purchase Servers for City Hall and Police Department The proposal is one server each for city hall and the police department and does not include managed service cost.

Recommendation made by Committee Member Schwartzkopf, seconded by Committee Member Piel, to approve the purchase of a server for city hall and the police department, from CTS at $15,614.25/each. Carried

VI. Public Comments/Anything for the Good of the City

None
