City of Pinckneyville City Council met Oct. 23.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE 

GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS 

Members of the public are welcome at City Council meetings and may address the Council during Public Comment. To have a specific  matter placed on the meeting agenda, a member of the public requesting an addition to the agenda should contact the City Clerk at least  five (5) days prior to the Council meeting and provide the City Clerk with sufficient information to allow the City Clerk to determine  the nature of the agenda item. The Council requests that members of the public avoid repetitive appearances before the Council with  the same issue. Comments should be limited to approximately five (5) minutes. Groups who wish to address the Council on the same  or similar issues should select a spokesman to present the concerns of the group members. 

CORRESPONDENCE 

COMMISSIONER HICKS 

1. Request approval of a quote from Porter Outdoor Power Equipment to purchase Gravely zero turn  mower at a total cost of $11,999.00 to be paid from the airport fund. Please see attached. 

2. Kayla Arndt of Team Impact requests permission to close a section of Ballpark Road Saturday,  October 28, 2023, during the Mardi Gras Madness Softball Tournament. Please see attached. 

COMMISSIONER KUHNERT 

1. Request approval of a quote from KGM to purchase a Sensit Gold gas detector at a total cost of  $3,842.86 to be paid from gas. Please see attached. 

2. Request approval of a quote from Utility Pipe Sales to purchase stock parts for the Zenner remote  read system at a total cost of $6,690.00 to be paid equally from gas and water. Please see attached. 

3. Request approval to hire and post a Notice of Bid for two (2) Maintenance-Water Plant/Relief Water Operators. 

4. Request approval to hire and post a Notice of Bid for a Maintenance-Relief Water Operator. 

COMMISSIONER PERADOTTA 

1. Request approval of a quote from Samuel Mast for a new building at the Street Department. 

COMMISSIONER STOTLAR 

1. For discussion and to place on file the Fiscal Year 2023 City Audit. A representative from Rice  Sullivan will be present for discussion. 

2. Review and authorize revisions to City Code establishing utility connection fees and charges for  trenching and excavation work on City streets, alleys, and roadways. 

MAYOR SPENCER 

1. Southern Illinois Aggregation Partnership Municipality Power of Attorney and Approval of Rates. 

2. Public comment 

3. Executive Session for the discussion of: Section 2 (c) (1) Appointment, employment,  compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of an employee. 

4. Adjournment 

Executive Session for the discussion of: 

Section 2 (c) (1) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of an employee. 

Section 2 (c) (2) Collective negotiating matters or deliberations concerning salary schedules. 

Section 2 (c) (5) Purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body. 

Section 2 (c) (6) Setting of a price for the sale or lease of property owned by the public body.
