National Child Abuse Prevention Month, observed in April, serves as a crucial time to shed light on the issue of child abuse and neglect and to show support for survivors. As part of this awareness campaign, advocates emphasize the importance of recognizing the signs of abuse to effectively combat this troubling phenomenon.

"Knowing the signs, such as sudden changes in behavior and unexplained injuries, can be a powerful tool to combat child abuse," says an advocate for child abuse prevention.

The month-long observance aims to honor and uplift survivors of child abuse and neglect while also providing resources for victims. To access more information and support services for victims, individuals are encouraged to visit the website of Nationwide Children's Hospital at https://www.nationwidechildrens.org/family-resources-education/700childrens/2017/04/recognizing-signs-of-child-abuse-and-neglect.
