City of Columbia Committee of the Whole met April 9.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

1. Call To Order

Chairman Niemietz called the Committee of the Whole committee meeting of the City Council of the City of Columbia, Illinois to order at 6: 10 P .M.

Upon Roll Call, the following members were:

Present: Committee Members - Chairman Niemietz and Aldermen Huch, Holtkamp, Riddle, Garmer, Khoury, Lawlor, and Nobbe. Mayor Hill was also present.

Absent: None.

Quorum present.

Administrative Staff Present: City Administrator Doug Brimm, Finance Director/Treasurer Linda Sharp, Chief of Police Jason Donjon, EMS Chief Kim Lamprecht, and IT Director James Mitchell.

2. Pledge of Allegiance

Those in attendance recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Public Input

There was no Public Input.

4. Discussion of Fiscal Year 2025 Budget

Mr. Brimm provided an overview of the proposed Fiscal Year 2025 Budget.

Mr. Brimm reminded the Council the Budget Hearing will be held April 15, 2024 at 6:45 pm before the Regular City Council meeting where the FY25 Budget will be presented for consideration.

5. Other Items to be Considered or Discussed

There were no Other Items to be Considered or Discussed.

6. Adjournment

Motion:

It was moved by Alderman Nobbe and seconded by Alderman Riddle to adjourn the Committee of the Whole committee meeting of the City Council of the City of Columbia, Illinois held Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 7:50 P.M. Upon Roll Call vote, Chairman Niemietz and Aldermen Huch, Holtkamp, Riddle, Garmer, Khoury, and Nobbe voted aye. Motion Carried.
