City of Pinckneyville City Council will meet on February 23.

Here are the agenda provided by the council:

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

GUIDELINES FOR PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AT CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS

Members of the public are welcome at City Council meetings and may address the Council during Public Comment. To have a specific matter placed on the meeting agenda, a member of the public requesting an addition to the agenda should contact the City Clerk at least five (5) days prior to the Council meeting and provide the City Clerk with sufficient information to allow the City Clerk to determine the nature of the agenda item. The Council requests that members of the public avoid repetitive appearances before the Council with the same issue. Comments should be limited to approximately five (5) minutes. Groups who wish to address the Council on the same or similar issues should select a spokesman to present the concerns of the group members.

COMMISSIONER HICKS

      1. Request from Rhonda Shubert to close streets closest to the City-owned grassy lot during America’s 250th Birthday Celebration on Sunday, June14, 2026. These streets include West Laurel, West Jackson, and North Perry Streets. Please see attached.

      2. Accept resignation of Mary Roe from the Pinckneyville Fire and Police Merit Board as of February 23, 2026.

      3. Request approval to add Mitch Baker to the volunteer firefighter roster. Please see attached.

      4. Resolution No. R-2026-06, a resolution placed on file at the February 9, 2026, regular council meeting, authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, to enter into an Employment Contract (Assistant Fire Chief).

      5. Resolution No. R-2026-07, a resolution placed on file at the February 9, 2026, regular council meeting, authorizing an Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, and the Pinckneyville Rural Fire Protection District.

      1. Request approval of an estimate from Warning Lites of Southern Illinois in the amount of $6,525.00 to

      2. Ordinance No. O-2026-01, an ordinance placed on file at the February 9, 2026, regular council meeting, authorizing the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, to enter into a Sales Agreement for Purchase of Real Estate located at 110 West Mulberry Street, Pinckneyville, Illinois.

      3. Resolution No. R-2026-08, a resolution to be placed on file, authorizing a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Redevelopment Agreement and Agreement for Other Financial Assistance between the City of Pinckneyville, Perry County, Illinois, and Horizon Management & Developer Group, Inc., an Illinois Corporation. Please see attached.
