City of Red Bud Recreational Facilities Committee met Feb. 17.

Committee Members Absent: Alan Piel

Council Members Present: Ben Schwartzkopf, Curt Guebert, Mike Rheinecker

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rebecca Cooper, Code Admin/City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Committee Chairman Donjon called the meeting to order at 6:37 P.M.

Committee Member Nevois said that Superintendent Eckart is waiting on one more bid.

B. 2025 Management

1. Review Job Description & Task List for Approval

The proposed job description is included in the packets. It is the job description that was found in the archives, with some basic updates. The plan is to advertise using the hourly wage.

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Nevois to authorize approval moving forward with posting for the pool manager position, with the job description as presented. Carried

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – January 20, 2025

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Nevois, to approve the minutes from the January 20, 2025, meeting. Carried

II. Community Foundation of Red Bud Pocket Park Project

Recommendation made by Committee Chairman Donjon, seconded by Committee Member Hanebutt, to authorize the Community Foundation to move forward with the pocket park project on City Hall property. Carried

III. Ratz Park Parking Lot

A. Building Maintenance

1. Dumpster Pad Fencing Proposal – Trost Plastics

Committee Member Hanebutt suggested holding off on the dumpster pad fencing, parking lot paving and dumpster pad projects until after a decision on the pool project cost are determined.

2. Parking Lot Paving Proposal – Moore Asphalt, Inc.

Committee Member Hanebutt suggested holding off on the dumpster pad fencing, parking lot paving and dumpster pad projects until after a decision on the pool project cost are determined.
