Committee Members Present: Curt Guebert, Jeremy DeMond, Rodney Nevois Committee Members Absent: Alan Piel, Ben Schwartzkopf Council Members Present: Mike Rheinecker, Bill Hanebutt, Council Members Absent: Kyle Donjon

Others Present: Mayor Susan Harbaugh, City Attorney Rick Cooper, City Superintendent Josh Eckart, Code Admin./City Engineer Jeff Mueller, Police Chief John Brittingham, Admin. Officer Jill Landgraf, City Clerk Joanne Cowell

Mayor Harbaugh called the meeting to order at 6:25 P.M.

New Business

I. Approval of Prior Month’s Meeting Minutes – Meeting December 16, 2024

Recommendation made by Committee Member Nevois, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to approve the minutes from the December 16, 2024, meeting. Carried

II. Review of Red Bud Business Park Bid Results

Code Admin. Mueller received four bids for the RBBP Phase I project, with a low bid from Gelly Excavating, Highland, Il. Mueller checked that Gelly is a reputable company. The city will install the electric and gas. This project is 60% grant funded.

Recommendation made by Committee Member Nevois, seconded by Committee Member Guebert, to authorize approval to accept the bid from Gelly Excavating in the amount of $890,466.88, for the RBBP Phase I project. Carried

III. Review City Hall Improvement Bid Results

Code Admin. Mueller said that these plans were rebid because originally only two bids had been received. The bid package was reconfigured, and five bids were received this time. The low bid was Hunter Construction for $148,000, with three addendums added.

Recommendation made by Committee Member Guebert, seconded by Committee Member DeMond, to authorize approval to accept the bid from Hunter Construction for $148,000, with the three addendums up to $186,063 (originally bid of $176,063 had a clerical error) for city hall improvements. Carried

None

The meeting was adjourned at 6:30 P.M.
