The Illinois Blueboys, with former Columbia High School standout Chase Schrader, came up short 5-4 against the Millikin Big Blue in their NCAA Division III baseball game held Saturday, Feb. 28, at 11 a.m.
The teams met at Workman Family Baseball Field in their first game against each other this season.
Schrader threw for 3.1 innings and struck out two batters.
The Blueboys are set to play again Friday, March 6, at 3:30 p.m. against Saint Mary’s Cardinals at Chain of Lakes Field.
