On Saturday, April 26, former Columbia High School standout Jaylyn Brister’s current college team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, lost 3-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Akron Zips.

The game took place at Mary M. Bell Field. This was their third matchup against the Zips this season.

The Huskies’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29 at 1 p.m. at Mary M. Bell Field against Western Michigan Broncos.
