On Sunday, Feb. 16, former Columbia High School standout Kyle McConachie’s current college team, the Akron Zips, won 17-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Radford Highlanders.
The game took place at Sherman Carter Memorial Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Highlanders this season.
The Zips’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Knights Field against Bellarmine Knights.
