There was one gas station in cities across Randolph County selling diesel gas at the lowest price of $3.39 per gallon in the week ending Feb. 7, according to customer reports submitted to GasBuddy.
Reported prices for diesel gas in Randolph County averaged $3.67 per gallon.
GasBuddy reports show that diesel gas was available at 13 of the 15 reported gas stations in Randolph County.
Across Illinois, the average reported price for a gallon of diesel gas rose to $3.66, compared to the week before.
U.S. gas prices continue to decline after reaching their lowest level since 2021, according to GasBuddy. The group projects the national average could dip below $2.80 per gallon during the holiday period, driven by increased oil production and lower seasonal demand.
The U.S. Energy Information Administration expects global oil stockpiles to keep growing into 2026, a trend that could weigh on crude prices in the near term.
