Illinois State Representative David Friess announced on March 10 that the March 17 Mobile DMV Event in Red Bud will now take place in the second-floor chamber room at Red Bud City Hall. The change of venue is intended to better accommodate attendees and ensure smooth operations for those with scheduled appointments.
The event is important for local residents who rely on mobile Department of Motor Vehicles services, especially those who may have difficulty traveling to other locations. Clear signage will be provided at City Hall to direct participants to the correct area.
Constituents can access City Hall through two entrances: one by the parking lot off Bloom Street and another via the side entrance off East Market Street. Seniors and individuals needing additional assistance are encouraged to use either the stairs or the elevator. Friess said his General Assembly staff will be available during the event to provide help as needed.
Friess, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent the state’s 115th House District, replacing previous state representative Nathan Reitz according to public records.
The relocation aims to make it easier for all community members, including seniors and those with mobility needs, to attend and complete their DMV business.
