The winter weather has affected operations at Sparta Community Hospital. Due to ongoing snowy conditions, all primary care and specialty care clinics will close at noon today, Friday, January 10, 2025. Efforts are being made to notify and reschedule patients with appointments scheduled later in the day.

Additional updates were provided at 2:45 p.m., stating that Convenient Care and Rehab Services, along with The Center, will close early at 5:00 p.m. The hospital expressed appreciation for patience and understanding as they prioritize safety during this weather event.

On a lighter note, there is information on how to build a snowman. According to Smithsonian Magazine.com, the best snow for building a snowman is moist or wet snow because it sticks well. Ideal conditions occur when temperatures are around 32°F. It’s suggested to find a flat spot in the shade and roll three snowballs of varying sizes before stacking them largest to smallest.
