Staff members from the office of Illinois State Representative David Friess attended the Summer Legislative Staff Farm Tour organized by the St. Clair County Farm Bureau on August 6, 2025. The event included visits to several local farms where staff listened to feedback from area producers about ways to improve support for agriculture and strengthen farming in Illinois.
Friess, a Republican, was elected to the Illinois State House in 2023 to represent the state’s 115th House District, replacing previous state representative Nathan Reitz.
“Today, my staff had the privilege of attending the Summer Legislative Staff Farm Tour hosted by the St. Clair County Farm Bureau! They visited several farms and heard valuable feedback from local producers on how we can better support agriculture and strengthen farming in Illinois,” said Rep. Friess.
The tour aimed to connect legislative staff with farmers and agricultural stakeholders in St. Clair County, providing an opportunity for direct communication about issues facing local agriculture.
