Red Bud City Council discusses employee discipline during recent executive session

The Red Bud, Illinois City Council discussed employee discipline during a recent executive session.

 

The closed session was held as part of a regular council meeting.

In discussions related to old business of the financial committee, the Red Bud Public Library building addition was discussed. The auto pay for utility bills was updated.

In financial committee new business, the minutes of the prior month’s meeting was approved. Budget development for financial year 2017 was discussed.

Another point of discussion was the swimming pool management contract with YMCA for the 2016 season.

Later on, the authorization to hire a crossing guard was considered. The cultural committee discussed the 150th Year Celebration in 2017. A picnic request from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church was reviewed. An Easter Egg Hunt request from Buena Vista at Ratz Park was considered as well. A City Hall parking lot request from Lions of IL Foundation for Diabetic Screening was also discussed.

The public works committee discussed safe routes to school. The West Line main extension contract for engineering services was also up for discussion.
