The Carbondale, Illinois Community High School District 165 Board of Education will discuss a resolution to authorize the notice of dismissal to personnel at tonight's meeting at 7.
The meeting will be held in the Carbondale Community High School Cafeteria, 1301 East Walnut St.
An executive session will take place to discuss issues related to the employment, appointment and compensation of specific employees.
A number of 2015-16 personnel are going to be informed about an honorable dismissal. Contracts for some 2016-17 administrative and professional support personnel will be discussed as well.
There will be discussions about the re-employment of tenured and non-tenured faculty for the 2016-17 school year. In addition, the discussion will focus on cafeteria, maintenance and educational support personnel.
A first reading of the District Board Policy Manual Update will be presented. The application for participation in the State Seal of Biliteracy Program will be discussed.
