Freeburg Legal and Ordinance Committee met Nov. 30.

Here is the agenda as provided by the Committee:

The meeting of the Legalond Ordinance Committee was colled to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chairperson Lisa Meehling on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, in the Freeburg Municipal Center. Members attending were Chairperson Lisa Meehling, Trustee Mike Bldies, Trustee Deon Pruett, Trustee Mott Trout, Mayor Seth Speiser, Village Clerk Jerry Mendro, Trustee Denise Albers, Trustee Roy Matchett, Zoning Administrator Gory Henning, Public Works Director John Tolan, Village Administrator Tony Funderburg and Office Manager Julie Polson.

A. OLD BUSINESS:

1. Approval of October 26, 2016 Minutes: TruSlee Moff Trout motioned fo Capprove the October 26, 2076 minutes and Trustee Dean Prueff Seconded the motion. All voting yed, the motion carried.

2. Zoning Report/Nuisance Properties: Zoning Administrator Gory Henning Soid he hoS the find inspection of the Yorber's property on Mondoy. They have mode a lot of progress and have moved Owoy obout 22 tons of Stuff. The Pedrson court cose hos been continued to January 19th. This house ond yord is in disrepair. Administrator FUnderburg advised Mr. Pedrson either needs to fix the house or knock it down.

3. Combination of PICIn Commission CInd BOCIrd Of AppeCIS. AdministrCifor FUnderbUrg stoted the hearing is set for December 7th at 6:30 p.m. Attorney Manion is Unovcilable so Attorney Keck will be here. Tony confirmed the Plon Commission hos to vote at thot meeting, and Fred will be there to dnswer duestions. Tony Scaid if anyone from the boord con be there, it would be opprecioted.

B. NEW BUSINESS:

1. Ordinonce # 1.6l O: An Ordinance Aboting the Toxes Levied for the Electric System Bonds: Tony stated this is the onnual ordinance to obote the taxes for the electric bonds.

2. Ordinance #161 : An Ordinance Abating the TCXeS Levied for the TIF Bonds. Tony cadvised this ordinance is olso done on nudly to obote the taxes since they are paid by the property toxes.

Tony commented Freeburg LidUor Wonts to put in video gaming which reduires an on and off premise license. Other places hove that type of license but we do not. The Stote is okay with it, but Tony is not SUre if this is a license we want to have available in Freeburg. He is going to email out the information on it for the trustees to review and will be discussed at the next committee meeting.

C. GENERAL CONCERNS: Trustee Mike Bldies asked if the businesses have had hoppy hours and Tony Solid we don't know.

D. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: None.

E. ADJOURN: TrUStee Mafi Trout motioned to adjourn at 5:46 p.m. and TrUStee Mike Bloies Seconded the motion. All voting yed, the motion corried.
