Board meeting called to order at 6:20 p.m.
Present: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker, and Williams. Absent: Anderson
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Williams to go into closed session at 6:21 p.m. for the purposes of Discussing the Appointment, Employment, Compensation, Discipline, Performance, or Dismissal of Specific Employees, and Student Discipline. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Eastham to go in to open session at 6:26 p.m. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Williams to appoint Jordan Hale as the volunteer assistant High School Basketball Coach, for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Williams, Seconded by Eastham to hire Jerrica Haley as the High School Girls' Golf Coach, for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Banach to hire Jordan Hale as the High School Boys' Golf Coach, for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Williams to hire Mary Threewitt for the cook's assistant at WCUSD #1, for the 2017/2018 school year. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker, and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Norris to hire Anthony Lowery as the High School P.E./Health and Driver's Education Teacher for the 2017/2018 school year, contingent on obtaining his driver's education certificate. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Williams to purchase a carpet extractor in the amount of $2,123.24. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Eastham to hire Kenny Meyers to refinish the grade school gym floor this summer for a total cost of $1,133.00. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
Motion by Walker, Seconded by Banach to purchase an outdoor baseball batting cage for a total cost of $835.00. Yea: Banach, Eastham, Frick, Norris, Walker and Williams. Nay: None. Motion carried.
