Council Member Harbaugh said this event was no longer going to take place. Motion and second withdrawn by Council Member Reed and Council Member Hanebutt.

1.Papenberg Special Use Permit – Advisory Report
a.Public Comments from Mary Liefer
Mary Liefer stated her objections to her previous home being used as a business. She did not feel that there was adequate parking, nor did she think the aesthetics of the residence should be changed. She would prefer her home to stay a home.
b.Ordinance No. 1382
Motion made by Council Member Friess, seconded by Council Member Donjon, to approve Ordinance No. 1382, “An Ordinance Granting A Special Use Permit Under Chapter 40 Of The Revised Code Of Ordinances Of The City Of Red Bud, Illinois” The motion was withdrawn by Council Member Friess and Council Member Donjon withdrew the second.
The ordinance will be rewritten by the city attorney, adding restrictions as discussed and will be voted on at a Special Council Meeting held the same night as the committee meetings.

K.Parks & Recreation Committee – Meeting July 26, 2017
Mayor Lowry informed the council that he will be forming a pool committee soon and will be making another visit to the Freeburg pool. He has asked Poetker to collect estimated costs of operating the pool. Council Member Esker suggested the possibility of making the pool handicap accessible to provide an opportunity for the elderly and disabled veterans to use the pool. Council Member Friess said the swim team is very appreciative of the new swim blocks; they loved them.
