Ewing Northern Community Consolidated School District 115 Board met September 18.

Members Present: Adam Allsopp, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, Jake Page, Larry Webb and Craig Zinzilieta.
Members Absent: Darren Fletcher
Visitors present: Gretchen Conley
President’s Comm. *Open House is scheduled for Tuesday, September 28, 2017 at 6:00 pm. The K-4 music classes and Pre-K will be performing.
*Baseball and softball season are going well. Regionals will begin this week.
*After school tutoring started. There are 45 students participating in 4 sessions.
*The band will be performing at the BCHS Homecoming parade on Friday, September 29, 2017, and at the football gamethat evening. They will play alongside Benton #47 and Benton High School during the half time show.
* The Ewing Homecoming will be Saturday, Oct. 7th with a parade, BBQ dinner, carnival, live music, and an auction with class baskets. All are welcome to come and enjoy the day.

School Schedule/Enrollment Mrs. Ing presented class totals for the 2017-18 school year. There is a 27 student increase over last year. Kindergarten-27, First-30, Second-16, Third-12, Fourth-23, Fifth-29, Sixth-16, Seventh-16, Eighth-27, Pre K-20 with a waiting list. This is largest amount of students since 2013.
Resolution 17-18 Budget Motion by Tom Harmon to adopt a resolution for the school budget for the 2017-2018 school year; 2nd by Victor Munoz. 6 ayes (Jake Page, Craig Zinzilieta, Adam Allsopp, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, and Larry Webb).
Dodge Ball Tournament Motion by Adam Allsopp to allow Mr. Fauver to host a Dodge ball Tournament in PE class to raise money for a local charity. 2 nd by Victor Munoz. 6 ayes (Adam Allsopp, Jake Page, Craig Zinzilieta, Victor Munoz, Tom Harmon and Larry Webb).
2016-2017 AFR Motion by Adam Allsopp to approve the 2016-2017 Annual Financial Report as present by the Superintendent, Mrs. Kristin Ing. 2nd by Victor Munoz. 6 ayes (Adam Allsopp, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, Jake Page, Craig Zinzilieta, and Larry Webb).
Into executive session Motion by Larry Webb to go into executive session to discuss assignment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2© (1), as amended by P.A. 93- 0057. 2nd Adam Allsopp. 6 ayes(Jake Page, Craig Zinzilieta, Tom Harmon, Victor Munoz, Adam Allsopp and Larry Webb). Other Baseball & Softball Strikeout for Cancer game raised $800.00 for Makanda Williams’ family through shirt sales and concessions.
