City of Pinckneyville recently issued the following announcement.

The Pinckneyville Fall Classic 8K Run & 5K Walk

Saturday Oct. 26, 2019 start time 9:00am

At the Perry County Fairground, Pinckneyville IL

Registration – 8K Run -$20.00
5K Walk -$15.00

Day of Registration starts at 7:30 am till 8:45 am

All pre entries receive t-shirts. Race day entries will be first come first served on t-shirts.
After the race there will be attendance prizes, refreshments, and 8K Run awards for age group winners.

The Course

The 8K run is a countryside run. The course is mostly flat with a few rolling hills.      

Awards for 8K Run:  Overall male & female and top 3 in age groups.

Divisions: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69  70 & over

The 5K walk is an out and back timed non-competitive event. No divisions award, but each participant will receive a small finisher placard medal.

Numerous door prizes will be given away!

After the race head up town for the Pinckneyville Mardi Gras Flea Market.
