The Anna City Council awarded an excavation contract for its sewer plant project during its meeting on Feb 2.
The contract, worth $13,318, was given to to Mott Excavating.
The council also reviewed the city's sign ordinance, discussed the 2016-17 budget, voted on a resolution approving plat maps for the Hartline Subdivision and announced two openings on the Employee/Retiree/City Joint Health Insurance Commission.
The city council meets at 5 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of every month at the Community Center, 105 Oak St.
In addition to Mayor Steve Hartline, the council includes Commissioners Brandon Bierstedt, David Isom, Al Kamp and Martha Ann Webb.
