The city of Columbia City Council advanced the city's plan for the Main Street Abbey Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district during a Jan. 19 meeting at City Hall.
The council voted 8-0 to have Peckham, Guyton, Albers and Viets Inc. prepare a redevelopment plan for the proposed new TIF project area.
The council also approved special event permits for Music at Metter, Movies at Metter, FestiFall, and Bright Night Christmas Parade.
Other approved ordinances and resolutions decided the right of way along Columbia Centre and amended city code regarding water meters.
