The Board of Education of Pinckneyville, Illinois Community High School District #101 held a recent meeting, noting the outstanding accomplishments of their students of the month for November and December.
The high school is located in Perry County, Illinois. There were several school officers as well as members present at the meeting, including Greg Thompson (President), Lisa Stanton (Secretary), Keith Hagene (Superintendent), Penny Corn (recording secretary), Brian Kellerman, Jennifer Robb, Paul Kuberski, and Dustin Foutch (Prinicpal).
Foutch stated that Sophie Keith was the Student of the Month for November. She made excellent achievements in the high school’s All Conference Cross Country as well as All Conference Volleyball. Sophie has also broken the school’s record for her number of rebounds during her basketball career while attending the high school. She is one of the outstanding athletes at the high school, he said.
Foutch also praised Taylor Smith for her accomplishments as the Student of the Month for December. She is an excellent athlete and shows friendliness as well as integrity in her interactions with others, he said.
The principal and other leaders at the school commended and complimented the two girls for their achievements, stating that they were worthy of their accomplishment as Students of the Month.
The board also approved updates to the Policy Manual and the hiring of a Tax Increment Financing (TIF) consultant.
