The City of Mt. Vernon, Illinois reviewed the pending annexation of property adjacent to the new industrial park to its city limits during the municipality’s recent City Council meeting.
It was the second reading of the ordinance, which would authorize adding the parcel that borders the industrial park slated for construction along Illinois Highway 15 behind Mt. Vernon Neon.
In addition to the annexation, the council also discussed a resolution authorizing the implementation of Illinois Funds E-Pay Program.
The City Council meets on the first and third Mondays of each month. Members of the council include: Mayor Mary Jane Chesley, and council members Jeff May, Dennis McEnaney, Donte Moore, and Todd Piper.
