Columbia Public Library gives $50 cash gift to each staff member

A motion to give $50 cash to each staff member at Columbia, Illinois Public Library was passed at a recent meeting.

  

Board member Diane Stechmesser made the motion to give the cash gift to the library staff members. The motion also included the request to supply lunch and desserts on Dec 22. Board President Shane Watson seconded the motion, and it was passed.

   

The board meeting was attended by Secretary Dan Brutton, Board VP Kathleen Habermehl, Library Director Britta Krabill, Treasuer Levi Ottwell, and board members Chris Trowbridge and Stechmesser

Minutes from the Nov. 10 meeting were reviewed in the meeting. Ottwell made a motion to approve the minutes as read, while Stechmesser seconded it. The Treasurer’s Report for November was also reviewed in the meeting. Stechmesser made the motion to approve the report, while Brutton seconded it.

   

A motion to pay the current bills, worth $10,931.24, was made by Ottwell, and it was seconded Brutton. The motion was passed.

   

In the Library Director’s report, it was mentioned that non-fiction DVDs have been reshelved, and Wowbrary is now in operational status. Board members were provided with materials on standards for the per capita grant to review for the next meeting.

   

Krabill reported on a patron behavior concern. The board discussed the concern and decided to discuss further developments in the next meeting, if required.
