Jefferson County Board to hold workshop today on streamlining claims

A workshop to discuss streamlining claims of the Jefferson County, Illinois Board is going to be held this afternoon at 3:45 in the County Board Office Conference room.

The meeting was agreed to during a fiscal committee meeting of the board on Feb. 18. The committee members present at the meeting included Fiscal Committee Chairman Bob Watt, Vice Chairman Jeff Williams, and board members Cliff Lindemann and James Malone. Others present in the meeting Chairman Robert White, Board member Tim Marlow, Sean Wilkey, Clint Taylor, Charla Walls, Treasurer Dan Knox, Connie Simmons and Steve Lueker.

  

Chief Deputy Clint Taylor and Walls discussed demand claims procedures and late fees concerning Ameren.

Executive Assistant Suzy Tate was absent in the meeting. Therefore, County Clerk Simmons took the minutes.

Treasurer Knox discussed the finances of the county.

   

Other discussions included the renewal of the postage machine rental contract. The chairman made the motion, which was seconded by Lindemann. The motion was made to recommend to the full board meeting regarding the new lease from Neopost. The lease is for rental of the postage machine in the amount of $280.50 every month. The motion was passed.
