The Carbondale, Illinois Community High School (CCHS) District #165 is seeking bids for Multi-Peril School Liability Insurance.
Superintendent Stephen Murphy and the board discussed the matter at recent meeting.
CCHS Mathematics Department Chair, Brenda Berg, did a presentation for the board regarding the activities of the Mathematics Department. CCHS Athletic Director, Mark Albertini, did a presentation on the activities of the Athletic Department.
The board also discussed the proposed communications specialist job description and posting. Since not all board members were present at the meeting, Murphy requested that it be tabled until the next meeting so that all board members could be in attendance for the discussion.
The board approved the minutes of the regular meeting held on Dec. 17, 2015, as well as payment of the bills for the month of December, 2015; and those available for payment for the month of January 2016.
The board also approved a free personal leave day, via a drawing, to promote faculty and staff participation in good heart practices by getting a blood pressure check during "Love Your Heart Week" in February.
