The Carbondale, Illinois Public Library Board of Trustees heard that concrete work for building and grounds maintenance around the north and northwest sides of the building had been done.
The issue was discussed during a recent meeting. In the librarian’s report, the board was informed that new doors would be installed soon so that the north entryway doors would match the south entryway. The board was also told that estimates for siding to alleviate water leakage through the south wall of the Brush annex building were being gathered.
Trustee Roland Person moved a motion, seconded by trustee and treasurer Don Prosser, to approve the investment policy. It was noted Carbondale Community Arts seemed to have a great investment strategy. Prosser noted that the library did not have an endowment, or any significant reserves that it did not need to readily access. The motion was unanimously passed.
