Du Quoin Public Library considers replacing children’s computers

The Du Quoin, Illinois Public Library Board of Trustrees considers replacing children’s computers.

The issue was discussed in a board meeting this week that also saw the board review a number of committee reports by individual trustees.

Pat Ferrari gave the Finance Committee report, Larry Underwood the Grants Committee report, Leanna Leek the Personnel Committee report, Gail Durkota the Policy Manual Committee report, Betty Eastman the Buildings & Grounds Committee report, Carol Downs the Long Range Planning Committee report, and Sarah Doerner the Library Promotion & Publicity report. Leek and Underwood gave the Genealogy Committee report.

The Librarian’s Report was presented by Kristina Benson. The City Financial Report for February 2016 was subject to audit. Bills payable for March 2016 were subject to approval.

The meeting also considered applicants for the Library Assistant position, replacing children’s computers and disposal of library items of value less than $100.

The annual report from the Du Quoin Public Library submitted to the Illinois State Library and City of Du Quoin was discussed in the meeting. Authorized signatures, Illinois funds update and banking forms were also discussed.
