The Columbia Public Library Board of Trustees discussed the 2016-17 budget in a meeting earlier this month.
In addition to the 2016-17 budget, the board discussed switching the special designated bank account to Associated Bank. The schedule for the 2016-17 board of trustees meetings was to be finalized.
During the meeting, citizens were granted a 15-minute period to appear and express their views before the board of trustees. This is a common practice at every open meeting. Each individual speaker is limited to three minutes, for a total of 15 minutes in every meeting.
The Treasurer’s Report was presented, as was the Library Director’s. Approval of the current bills was to put to a vote as well.
