Carbondale Police Pension Board discusses terms of office of appointed members

The Carbondale, Illinois Police Pension Board discussed current terms of office for two appointed members of board, Charles Ursini and Paul Echols.

The issue was discussed in a board meeting held this week. It started with the reading and a vote on the approval of the minutes of Jan. 26 and Feb. 16 meetings.

In the correspondence section, bills were discussed. Thereafter, the Treasurer’s Report and the Investment Report were presented.

There was a discussion about the status of an annual disability review of Jeffrey Vaughn. The Illinois Finance Entity update due Feb. 28 was discussed as well. Then there was discussion and approval of possible changes to Rules and Regulations of Carbondale Police Pension Fund.

Proposed legislation, affecting downstate police and fire pension funds SB 3317 and others, was discussed as well. Applications for membership and benefits were reviewed.

The next meeting date is scheduled to take place April 19.
