Southern Illinois University Board of Trustees is going to discuss Student Housing Plans for Southern Illinois University-Carbondale (SIUC) and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville (SIUE) in a meeting to be held Wednesday, March 23.
The meeting will be held at the Special Events Room and Board Room of Birger Hall. The meeting will start with public comments and questions. Thereafter, there will be a discussion about the impact of state budget impasse.
The tuition and fee proposals for SIUC and SIUE for the year 2016-17 will be discussed in the meeting. Diversity initiatives and the awareness of sexual assaults in the campus will be talked about as well. The search for the SIUE chancellor will be discussed next.
After discussion regarding the annual board of trustees retreat, the meeting will close the public session and move to an executive session.
