Carbondale Local Liquor Control Commission to consider Class J license application from Carbondale Community Arts

Wine

The Carbondale Local Liquor Control Commission is going to consider an application for a Class J license from Carbondale Community Arts at its next meeting March 22.

Carbondale Community Arts applied for a Class J license for on-premises consumption at a public arts venue at 304 W. Walnut St. Class J licenses are used for not-for-profit organizations that offer art exhibits, oral presentations and musical or theatrical performances. With a Class J license, there is no required minimum entry age.

The Carbondale Liquor Advisory Board reviewed and unanimously approved the request. The commission may approve the license upon receipt of outstanding items. Alternately, the commission may deny the license, based on any provision in the Liquor Code.
