Columbia City Council reviewed ordinance to authorize joint agreement with IDOT

Columbia

The Columbia, Illinois City Council discussed an ordinance to authorize a Joint Agreement between the city and the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) at its meeting earlier this week.

The agreement centers on the improvement of Gall Road at its intersection with IL Route 3. The council also discussed an ordinance accepting a Quitclaim Deed from Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of Oakville, as well as a resolution authorized the execution of an Easement Agreement between the city and the church.

The council also considered a contract for professional services between Peckham Guton Albers & Viets Inc. and the city for the proposed Main Street Abbey Business District.

During the meeting, a special event request for “It’s A Scream Twilight Camp" was made by the Girl Scouts.
