The Preservation Commission of Carbondale, Illinois met yesterday to review a report by the Downtown Advisory Committee.
The commission also discussed the Founders' Day Reception report and the meeting schedule.
Also at the meeting, election of officers was to take place.
The Preservation Commission reviews, holds public hearings and recommends to the City Council the adoption of ordinances designating certain properties, improvements and areas having special historic, architectural or community value as historic districts, landmarks and neighborhood preservation districts.
