Carbondale Local Liquor Control Commission considers Class J license application

The Carbondale, Illinois Local Liquor Control Commission met recently to consider an application from Carbondale Community Arts Inc. for a Class J license at 304 W. Walnut St.

The issuance of a Class J license was approved unanimously. The Class J license covers on-premises consumption of alcoholic beverages in a public arts venue.

The Local Liquor Control Commission is a commission of the City of Carbondale. It reviews all liquor license applications. Before the commission meets the Liquor Advisory Board meets and discusses liquor license applications with all applicants and renders an advisory opinion to the Local Liquor Control Commission as to the merits each liquor license application it reviews.
